I’ve never really paid much notice to blogs I’ll admit, or considered writing them.. have always thought “Aint nobody got time for that” and why do these people bother. But my designer has suggested that writing a blog for our website would be of great value.. and so my friends I will be penning bliggedy blog posts about some seriously controversial, birth related and personal topics perhaps for the rest of my life, kind of as a form of therapy.. It might bore you to tears but you’ll learn stuff along the way, I promise. See the thing about me is I’m not a keyboard warrior if I have something to say I just say it, and when I get on my soapbox I don’t come down until everything has exited my thoughts.. So you know, this could kind of be fun and potentially dangerous at the same time.
My kids 20, 11, 8, 6, 4 and 10 months are all so seriously over my soap box rants “Geez Mum, I don’t actually care how you feel about the 1cm per hour cervix dilation hospital standard… and please stop saying vagina in public” there may be much rejoicing when I tell them I am blogging.. that is until I blog about one of them muhahah.
I have compiled a list of blog topics.. it’s extensive, and things I feel passionate about. I am going to try to schedule these blogs in the months or week that it’s most appropriate. You know like “Breastfeeding, what the hospital staff don’t tell you” during breastfeeding month. So it’s more on media topic, but I’m not sure I can pull off something that ‘scheduled’ I will try though. Some topics may make some folks a little uncomfortable, but then some of you will be relieved that someone is speaking out.. Feel free to post comments I will applaud the interaction..
And at that.. I have written bliggedy blog post #1. If you’ve made it this far buckle your seat belts and get ready for more from my mind in the months to come.
